If you are seeking something for your patio that you can afford, consider patio plastic furniture. This type of outdoor furniture can be found at most any store and is usually priced low as compared to more expensive aluminum, iron and wood sets. Plastic furniture for the outdoors is usually made to be pretty weather resistant so you don’t have to worry about the sun or rain. However, they are not as lasting as an expensive teak patio set, for example.
Plastic sets for the patio are prone to cracking, and may stain depending on the color you choose. You can always spruce up your set with spray paint, just make sure what you are using is made for plastic and always do the job outdoors, wearing a mask and safety goggles just in case the wind blows paint or paint fumes your way.

The City of Pasadena passed a no smoking law this year for mulit-family homes (2 or more units).

Heres the information from the Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors:
Starting January 1, 2013, it will be unlawful to smoke in any common area, patio, balcony, or inside a unit within any multi-family building (defined as two or more units.)
Effective January 1, 2012, property owners/managers must post No Smoking signs in the common areas of their building.
Also, effective January 1, 2012, all leases/rental agreements AND purchase agreements must contain a reference to the prohibition AND a copy of the ordinance.

For most people, African violets are easy to grow.My grandmother didn’t really have a green thumb, but, boy, could she grow African violets. The fuzzy round leaves never rotted, as mine did until I gave up on houseplants. The cheerful flowers in blue, purple, pink or bi-color bloomed from January to January. I don’t remember her doing anything at all to her plants, except water them … and that wasn’t often. She had the magic touch.

When an advertiser labels a product green, what does this mean? Some believe that the materials used to manufacture the product are quickly renewable. Others see products as biodegradable, which means that their substance will beak down into elements that will not harm the ecosystem. Still others feel that a greed product is simply one that is energy efficient. The fact is there is no agency or body that governs the green product is simply one that is energy efficient.
